Music with a Mission
At Bergen County Music Program, we believe in the power of music to inspire, educate, and create positive change. Our organization connects middle and high school students with passionate music instructors, providing them with affordable, high-quality lessons. But the impact doesn’t stop there—100% of our proceeds go to organizations supporting children with epilepsy and other differently-abled communities ensuring they receive the care, resources, and opportunities they deserve.

By learning music, students not only develop their talents but also become part of a movement that transforms lives. Every note played, every song learned, and every lesson taken contributes to a greater purpose. Join us in using the universal language of music to build a more inclusive and compassionate world.

Our Founder's Story
Hello, my name is Jaemin Shah and at the age of five, I was diagnosed with Epilepsy. Much of my early childhood felt like a blur as I navigated the effects of both the medication and the disease. I struggled with academics, and often felt adrift—until I found the cello. The moment I began playing, everything changed. Music became my anchor, giving me focus, purpose, and a sense of stability that nothing else could. Years of dedication led me to the Manhattan School of Music’s Precollege Program, where I continue to refine my skills and deepen my love for the instrument. Now, I am eager to give back, to share the transformative power of music with children, and to ignite in them the same passion that continues to shape my life.
